Dr. Bohm and the Science of Thought: An Edge of Creation Story

In the heart of New York City, nestled among the towering buildings and bustling streets, lies the majestic Lincoln Center. It was here, in a grand lecture hall, that I found myself swept into the captivating world of a cutting-edge scientific talk. The renowned physicist David Bohm and brilliant neuroscientist Karl Pribram stood before us, ready to unveil their groundbreaking theory—a thrilling exploration of the brain and the universe that felt like something out of a sci-fi movie.

As the lights dimmed, Bohm and Pribram delved into their visionary concept: the holographic theory of the universe. They explained that a hologram, much like a photograph, could capture and store vast amounts of information in its intricate patterns. But unlike a regular photo, a hologram could display a three-dimensional image that seemed to float in the air, just like the shimmering apparition of Princess Leia in Star Wars.

The true marvel of a hologram, they revealed, was that even a tiny piece of it could still produce the entire image, just with less detail. This meant that every part of the hologram contained the whole picture. Bohm and Pribram suggested that our brains, and even the entire universe, might work in a similar way. Imagine having access to all the knowledge in the universe, hidden within every molecule, just waiting to be unlocked.

As Bohm spoke, his voice took on a somber tone. He expressed concern about the growing problems in the world—the disconnection between humans and nature, the conflicts between people, and the internal struggles we all face. He pondered, “What is the source of all this trouble?” He suggested that the answer might lie within our own thoughts.

Bohm explained that our thoughts often seem like they simply reflect reality, but in truth, they shape it. He pointed out that we think we control our thoughts, but often, it’s our thoughts that control us. They create divisions and problems, and then struggle against the very issues they’ve created. This, he called “sustained incoherence.”

He urged us to understand that our thoughts are part of a larger system, interconnected with our feelings, our bodies, and society as a whole. This system, he explained, was flawed. Our thoughts create problems, and when we try to solve them, we often make things worse because we don’t realize we’re the ones creating them in the first place.

Bohm’s ideas resonated deeply. He described how our fundamental operating system—the ego—processes information based on past experiences and survival instincts. These thoughts, shaped by society, often loop endlessly, preventing us from thinking truly new thoughts. To break free from this loop, we must connect with our higher consciousness and embrace the extraordinary.

In this vast cosmic network, our consciousness connects us to the universe, allowing us to access boundless information. Through the Law of Attraction, we send out thoughts that reverberate through this network, bringing back insights and inspiration. Bohm suggested that by transcending our ego’s limitations, we could create new realities filled with joy, love, and fulfillment.

As the lecture ended, I felt a profound sense of responsibility. Bohm’s words echoed in my mind: “Begin to envision the world not as it is, but as you dream it to be.” He urged us to use our emotional compass to focus on what we desire, rather than what we fear. By doing so, we could reshape our reality and become the designers of our own destinies.

With renewed inspiration, I left the lecture hall, ready to explore the infinite possibilities that lay ahead. The adventure of a lifetime was just beginning, and I knew that with the power of thought and the guidance of my heart, I could create a future beyond my wildest dreams.
